Missymom 給弟弟的洗禮祝福

Roger Dodger!

First of all we want you to know, that you have given us the greatest Christmas Present we have ever received, by making the  decision to be baptized into the Lord's church ! We are all so happy  !

Roger, you were born into a very special family. The light of Christ has always shone forth in them. That light grew brighter as they were taught gospel truths and decided to be baptized. The first day your mommy called me from Taiwan, the Holy Ghost flooded my being immediately, that this was a special family and I could not bear the thought of them leaving one of their children behind as they were progressing as an "eternal family". I knew right away, that we were blessed with the opportunity to share our life with you for a period of time. That of course meant going to church with us and being involved with the youth of our church. As I told your mom we would love for you to come to our home for the year, there was an understandng that passed between us, mother to mother. We were both in this unique calling, known as MOTHERHOOD, and we were going to do all in our power to take care of each other's sons, ( As Jeff was serving a mission in their area) and for me that meant helping Roger to feel the joy and happiness that comes in your life as we are obedient to Heavenly Father's teachings.

The Lord enlightened my mind that I needed to speak to Spencer Smith and then the rest of the Sunday School class that Roger would be attending. These were special youth that I knew would make a difference in Roger's life and of coruse, Roger made a difference in theirs as well! Roger brought sunshine with him, everywhere he went. All of our lives were made more meaningful through his music and laughter.

Before you left our home Roger, I told you that the Lord was going to use you in great ways in his Kingdom here on Earth. I shared with you that I knew you would have great leadership responsibilites in the church someday. I'll never forget your answer " Really does that mean I will be Prophet?..." We all giggled, and I said well, maybe not Prophet, but the Lord is going to depend on you greatly, and you will come to love him deeply, as a humble dedicated servant.

Your baptism today is the first of many steps you will be taking toward those leadership responsibilites.

We love you Roger. As you know, we had you keep the key to our front door when you left, because you will always be one of our family members, and this will always be your home as well. We love your sweet family and rejoice with them on this very sweet Christmas Day.

Love ,

Mom, Dad, and all the children and grandchildren!
