Nancymom 給弟弟的洗禮祝福

Dear Roger,

I want you to know how happy I am that you received a confirmation from the Spirit that the Gospel of Jesus Christ has been restored upon the earth by the Prophet Joseph Smith and that you are willing to enter into the waters of baptism as a witness that these things are true.  It has been such a privilege to come to know your kind heart and sweet spirit. When you and I talked about your hesitancy to join the church you had indicated to me that you hadn't had a spiritual confirmation.  From that day forward Emma, and I prayed every night that you would recieve your spiritual experience that would let you know how much your Heavenly Father loves you and that he has a plan laid out for you to return to him. We have witnessed the miracle of our Heavenly Father's answer to humble prayer.

Roger, today is the most important day of your life, thus far.  This is the beginning of many more wonderful steps that will lead you home to your Heavenly Father.  You are a very special young man and I know that Heavenly Father has great plans for you.  Today you will be given the gift of the Holy Ghost, as you live worthily you will have the constant companionship of the Holy Ghost to be your guide.  My favorite scripture is in Proverbs 3:5-6  "Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.  In all thy ways acknowledge him and he shall direct thy paths."  I've lived this principle since I was baptised 30 years ago and it has never failed me.  Learn to pray with real intent and stay on your knees to listen to God's counsel.  He knows you and your true capacity and he has plans for you in helping him build his Kingdom on this earth. If you listen to the still small voice and look for answers while you diligently study the scriptures and heed the counsels of the General Authourities you will never be led astray.

I am so proud of you.  I am so grateful that I listened to our Heavenly Father's counsel when I prayed to see if it would be good for you to come live with us.  My husband had just lost his job and the future was so uncertain and so I kneeled in fervent prayer and asked if was the right thing to have Roger come and live with us.  I had only met you once, but Heavenly Father knew you and knew where you needed to be and spoke peace to my soul.  I am so grateful that we have come to know you.  It is a privilege to have you in our home. Congratulations on this wonderful day and we all love you very much.  Love, Nancy
