First week in Seattle
Fam!
Lately when street contacting, we were questioned by a lot of non LDS Christian, using Bible to attack our belief. Thank Elder Lee! Because I got no idea what they were talking about, while Elder Lee answered them perfectly
Although Elder Lee told me that I should focus my study on Book of Mormon, but I feel like I need to be more familiar with the Bible, So when people ask me questions I can at least know what they are saying
It was kind of funny because on Friday a Christian guy called us said they he has some questions he wanted to ask about our belief. Although he was nice and really did have some questions that he really wanted to know, it was a waste of time to teach him since he didn't have a desire to really find the truth. He knew a lot of our church. I am glad that it didn't turn out to be just arguing back and forward. At the end, he gave us two books that talks about Jesus. It has a kind of scary looking Jesus dying on the cross. We are meeting in again to see what we can do for him...
After experiencing this week, I felt bad for how I rejected the missionaries or not show up for the appointment before. Now as a missionary myself, doing those things is really heart-breaking. On Thursday, we have set about four church tours appointments, and none of them went through. No body shows up. It was lame.
Street contacting is still kind of hard. I have no problem with talking to people, but sometimes I don’t know what to say. But I guess it's ok since this was only my first week and I still get lot to learn. The people here we go contacting, are very diverse. They are from all over the world, and most of them are some kind of Christian already. There are a lot the churches here.
I only have four minutes left. I love the missionary work. Nothing big really work out yet but I think it has been a good week! I look forward the future here.
I love you guys and have been praying about you.
